Boost Your Dutch is a complete language programme, which consists of five Dutch courses bringing you from beginner to intermediate level.
For students, who already have some Dutch skills, there are multiple entry points into the programme.
In each course all Dutch language skills are practiced.
In addition, every course focuses on a specific skill to give this skill a special “boost”

Speaking
Writing
Reading
Due to their interactive nature, joint exercises, Dutch talk and writing stories together, these courses are normally given in-person.
If this is not possible or you have other needs, please contact us to further discuss options.
- Courses generally consist of 8 lessons of 2 hours.
- Lessons combine native insights and ‘learn by doing’.
- Custom-made materials are included. No books required.
- Easy access to online audio, vocabulary and exercise tools.
- Lessons are in-person: individually, in pairs or in small groups.

Nederlands 1 (NL1)
Special focus - listening
Basic Dutch grammar & essential language elements:
- Talk to family, neighbours, colleagues about daily activities and interests.
- Make appointments: informal, at work, or for local services (GP/dentist).
- Build your own Boost-Your-Dutch-Framework step by step
- Learn basic time structures: present, past and future tenses.
Keep calm and speak “een beetje Nederlands”.

Nederlands 2 (NL2)
Special focus - writing
Dutch word order & different types of personal pronouns:
- Talk about family relations, people’s appearances, in-and-around the house.
- Discuss short texts about daily life and local experiences of internationals.
- Write stories yourself and learn how to structure them/make them interesting.
- Learn these types of pronouns: subject, object, possessive and demonstrative.
Keep calm and speak “meer Nederlands”.

Nederlands 3 (NL3)
Special focus - speaking
Dutch verb conjugations & word order for direct objects:
- Talk about festive days, weather, traffic, route directions, emergency services.
- Practice different types of reactions and chats in various real-life situations.
- Use a variety of tenses (present, past simple, present perfect) in sentences.
- Train lots of frequently used verbs with the Boost-Your-Dutch-Verb-Trainer.
Keep calm and speak “beter Nederlands”.

Nederlands 4 (NL4)
Special focus - reading
Dutch negation, comparatives, conjunctions & sub clauses:
- Talk about history, society, politics, climate change and national issues.
- Read Dutch articles and 2 books (A2/B1 level), incl. book presentations.
- Share opinions and give advice about popular topics in writing & speaking.
- Practice making longer sentences, including conjunctions and sub clauses.
Keep calm and speak ‘’formeler Nederlands”.

Nederlands 5 (NL5)
Special focus - integration
Dutch grammar overview, incl. advanced topics & exceptions:
- Talk about professions, careers, applying for jobs and work environment.
- Listen to some columns from “Hartelijke Groenten”, written by Vinnie Ko.
- Read business texts and 1 Dutch book (B1-level), incl. book presentation.
- Review the Boost-Your-Dutch-Grammar-Document and apply grammar together.
Keep calm and speak “overal Nederlands”.
