Flexible Lessons

Meet your specific needs

The Boost Your Dutch Programme is suitable for international students at all levels. However, there might be situations, which require a more flexible approach to learning Dutch. If so, there are several options available for flexible lessons.

Features of Flexible Lessons
Keep calm and speak Nederlands
  1. Train one/more specific Dutch skills
  2. At your own personal level & pace
  3. Lessons are scheduled flexibly
  4. Options for in-person and online
  5. For individuals and couples

As a Dutch learner, it can be hard to join a regular course due to family obligations, work-related travel, etc. Or maybe you are more advanced and you want to work on one or more specific Dutch skills: pronunciation, writing, etc. Consequently, it might be easier to learn Dutch more flexibly at your own level & pace.

Our flexible options

Custom-made Lessons

Based on personal requirements

Depending upon your specific Dutch training requirements, training materials will be pulled from different sources and instruction can be given in-person and/or online.

Dutch learning skills

Course fees will be based upon the type of lessons and the expected preparation time, e.g. if more flexible scheduling is required, course fees for 8 lessons of 2 hours start at €550 for 1 person and €425 p.p. for 2+ people

If you are near/at B1-level and you would like to keep practicing your Dutch skills with ready-made materials, we offer two additional training options.

B1-Training

Oefenen, oefenen, oefenen

Practice Dutch skills at the level of the Dutch “Staatsexamen I”:

  • Topics: media, education, world citizens, getting a job, work, health & safety and leisure.
  • You will practice all 4 language skills: listening, reading, writing and speaking with lots of different exercises, exam tips, etc.
  • Method: Vooruit! Voorbereiding op het Staatsexamen NT2 I, by Annet Berntsen, including course book and website.
  • The method doesn’t include grammar, so you need to have your own grammar reference, such as the Boost-Your-Dutch-Grammar-Document (Nederlands 5).
Dutch course: B1-Training

It is required that you are approx. B1-level and that you have sufficient time to practice at home. The course fee depends on the number of lessons needed. If you want to partake in the exam, you can do it all at once, but you can also focus on 1-2 skills each time and do the exams for those skills only.

Weekly lessons are normally 2 hours and scheduled in series of 8. Fee for 8 lessons is €475 for 1 person and €350 p.p. for 2+ people (excl. book).

Advanced Training

Blijf je Nederlands verbeteren

Focus on common mistakes and how to avoid them:

  • Frequently made mistakes and difficulties in Dutch are presented and trained to bring your Dutch to a higher level.
  • There are approx. 80 short topics to be discussed, but it is possible to make a selection, based on your own objectives.
  • Method: 77 puntjes op de i by Emily Palmer, includes a course book and website with a few homework exercises.
  • This method does not include basic Dutch grammar, so you will need to have a sufficient grammar base already.
Dutch course: Advanced training

It is required that you are approx. B1-level and that you have a little time for homework exercises. The course fee depends on the number of lessons needed. Each lesson will also include short conversations to enable you to use Dutch in practice and improve your pronunciation and fluency in Dutch

Weekly lessons are normally 2 hours and scheduled in series of 8. Fee for 8 lessons is €475 for 1 person and €350 p.p. for 2+ people (excl. book).
