Flexible Lessons
Meet your specific needs
The Boost Your Dutch Programme is suitable for international students at all levels. However, there might be situations, which require a more flexible approach to learning Dutch. If so, there are several options available for flexible lessons.
- Train one/more specific Dutch skills
- At your own personal level & pace
- Lessons are scheduled flexibly
- Options for in-person and online
- For individuals and couples
As a Dutch learner, it can be hard to join a regular course due to family obligations, work-related travel, etc. Or maybe you are more advanced and you want to work on one or more specific Dutch skills: pronunciation, writing, etc. Consequently, it might be easier to learn Dutch more flexibly at your own level & pace.
Our flexible options
Custom-made Lessons
Based on personal requirements
Depending upon your specific Dutch training requirements, training materials will be pulled from different sources and instruction can be given in-person and/or online.
Course fees will be based upon the type of lessons and the expected preparation time. Also, if required, more flexible scheduling will be available. Course fees for 8 lessons (16 hrs) start at €795 for 1 person. Specific fees and/or courses for more people to be discussed.
If you are near/at B1-level and you would like to keep practicing your Dutch skills with ready-made materials, we offer two additional training options.
Practice Dutch at B1-level
Oefenen, oefenen, oefenen
Train all your Dutch skills at B1-level with extra focus on speaking
- Practice speaking with unique, fun and innovative stories developed by Boost Your Dutch.
- Train all language skills (listening, reading, writing & speaking) at the level of Dutch “Staatsexamen Programma I”.
- Topics included are: media, education, world citizens, getting a job, work, health & safety and leisure.
- Supporting method: Vooruit! by Annet Berntsen, including course book and website.
It is required that you are approx. B1-level and that you have sufficient time to practice at home. The book doesn’t include grammar, so you need to have your own grammar reference, e.g. the Boost-Your-Dutch-Grammar-Document (Nederlands 5). The duration of the training is flexible, i.e. the number of lessons depends on your personal requirements. Please note that this training is not suitable if you need to take the “NT2 Staatsexamen Programma I” within a particular time frame. If so, look for language schools, that offer specific B1 exam courses with a fixed number of lessons in order to plan your exam date.
Advanced Training
Blijf je Nederlands verbeteren
Focus on common mistakes and how to avoid them:
- Frequently made mistakes and difficulties in Dutch are presented and trained to bring your Dutch to a higher level.
- There are approx. 80 short topics to be discussed, but it is possible to make a selection, based on your own objectives.
- Method: 77 puntjes op de i by Emily Palmer, includes a course book and website with a few homework exercises.
- This method does not include basic Dutch grammar, so you will need to have a sufficient grammar base already.
It is required that you are approx. B1-level and that you have a little time for homework exercises. The course fee depends on the number of lessons needed. Each lesson will also include short conversations to enable you to use Dutch in practice and improve your pronunciation and fluency in Dutch
Please note that individual courses have a day-time fee & an evening fee.
